Cali’s own, Demented Child and Crow, have begun recording a new LP at CCM Recording Studios.Both Demented Child and Crow are edgy rappers with rough similarities to Mac Lethal and Esoteric. They spit on instrumentals aggressively with lyrical substance and mic prowess, not afraid to explore with vocal effects. So far we have recorded and pre-mixed 4 tracks, one of which describing Demented Child’s personal experience with seizures. To emulate this phenomenon for the listener, I used roughly ten vocal effects ranging between flangers, delays, vocal mutators and reverse reverb, etc. to create a trippy aural landscape. Suffice to say, it was fun to mix and the results are pretty sweet. I will be posting a sample of this track and another after the next mixing session is complete.
