BLUE Kiwi Microphone finds a home at CCM Studios and we are ecstatic! BLUE mics are highly acclaimed for their meticulous detail in construction – by hand – and the smooth and flattering characteristics unique to each of their various mics. I have owned a bluebird for years now and frequently turn to it as a “cheaper swiss army” mic and am constantly pleased… in steps KIWI and things are even better. The KIWI is touted as BLUE’s flagship solid-state condenser mic and is outstanding on a wide variety of things, especially vocals. Signals come through crisp yet fat, and the KIWI offers 9 polar patterns – yes, nine. There is cardiod, omni and figure-eight, with 3 variant settings in between each of the three standard patterns. Although I am yet to experiment with these settings in-between settings, the thought alone intrigues. So far it has shined miking an accordion and a female vocalist and we are eager to see what lyes ahead.
Now come see how you sound running through the KIWI!
