Profit and Young Slugga at CCM Recording Studios

Profit and Young Slugga have been in and out of CCM Studios recently working on a couple new tracks working back and forth between Nebraska, Texas and Colorado. During our session last week we knocked out 2 tracks in four hours and are gonna be gettin on it again this week as well. For tracking we used our Neumann U87 into our Grace (ribbon version) mic pre. For a quick, yet unique mixing session we bused each MC’s verse and chorus vocal-stack outputs into separate buses (4 buses in total, one for each verse and chorus vocal-stack) and then did some group compression and eqing, etc.. I then used sends from these buses to provide reverbs, delays etc., mixing it up here and there. I do this to have more options in post-processing while being very time efficient for the client. If there are any other issues I can later take care of them on the individual track level or re-address the stack’s bus. Be on the look out for Profit, Young Slugga and CCM Studios.
