The Reason for Reason
The pre-production phase at CCM Recording Studios is the absolute most important part of any size project!
Lately, I had produce a track for an R&B singer. The lyrics and melody were already in place. The most practical method for me was to sync Cubase to Pro-Tools via MTC (midi time code) and use Propellerhead’s Reason Rewire feature. I let the artist record his concept to a predetermined click track, and then produced the music to the scratch recording. The results were flawless for editing and arranging of both the midi sequence and the rough vocal tracks!
