Mix Tape Shout Outs and Drops by Always ChelsLove

Denver Recording Studios Sessions….

A mixtape is a compilation of songs and or tracks (typically copyrighted music taken from other sources) recorded in a specific order. Traditionally it was recorded onto a compact audio cassette, but now because of digital technology you see them mostly on CD. However the name stuck. Video mixtapes have emerged as well.

Chelsea Love at CCM Recording StudiosDenver R&B singer ChelsLove was CCM Recording Studios doing “shout outs” and “drops” for her new mix tape to be release in the fall of 2007.  (Shout-out and drops are a greeting or acknowledgment of a person, group, or organization of significance. It is often done as a sign of respect, synonymous with “giving props”). Chelsea has a great voice and will surely be on the national stage soon! Check out her myspace page…click here!

Chelsea started like any typical girl growing up in the inner city, with dreams and visions of what she hoped to be. Doctor, Lawyer or a famous singer usually rolled off her lips as future aspirations. However, early on in her life it was evident what direction she would take. Her first solo in church, “The Lord’s Prayer” sent chills down the spines on the congregation. From there she began taking private voice, dance, and acting lessons. By age ten Chelsea developed a buzz in Gospel circles around Denver. She received two awards from The Colorado Gospel Association for Most Promising Artist and Best New Artist. In Middle School, Chelsea received a full scholarship to attend the prestigious Perry Mansfield School of the Performing Arts in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. With the encouragement of her acting teacher, she auditioned for an August Wilson play, “Piano Lesson” at the Denver Center of the Performing Arts and was cast with the likes of Pam Grier. Her list of plays also include “ The Music Man,” “Fame,” “The Wiz,” “West Side Story,” and “Mama, I want to Sing.” All of which she was cast as a leading role.
